2019 Summer PhD Research Experience Programme
To provide opportunities to outstanding students who are interested to pursue research postgraduate study in Hong Kong to:
- visit the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) campus and learn the cutting-edge research being undertaken in the Department of Computer Science;
- engage in a frontier research project under the supervision of a faculty advisor;
- understand the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) established by the Research Grants Council (RGC) and research scholarships offered by the Department of Computer Science and HKBU.

Decisions will be made based on the following merits:

- Leadership ability and societal responsibility
- Communication and interpersonal skills

Arrangement and Financial Support
The programme is free. Successful applicants will be required to arrange their own: 1) entry permit to Hong Kong; and 2) round-trip transportation between home country and Hong Kong.
The following support is provided:
- Accommodation
- Reimbursement of economy-class round-trip tickets between home town/university and Hong Kong (up to HK$ 4,000 for participants from Asian countries and up to HK$ 10,000 for participants from non-Asian countries)
- Local living allowances of HK$ 3,000 per month
