A welcome/orientation session was organized by the Department to welcome and share with all new teaching and research staff on the culture and development of the Department, as well as personal experiences from some of the colleagues, on 28 August 2008. A lunch was hosted by Prof. Liu to celebrate the start of the new academic year and to bid farewell to Dr. Stephen Chan upon his retirement.
