The Department hosted the 2nd Mind Drive Competition (Programming Contest for Natural User Interface) at Digital Innovation Lab (AML 119) on 21 March 2013.
The Head of Department Prof Yuen gave us an opening speech. 34 participants (Common Year 1 students from the Faculty of Science showed off their own programmed posture designs and body coordination during the competition!
We are pleased to announce the winners of the competition:
- First prize: LI Yiming
- First runner-up: Liu Jiahua, Xie dongyue and Dong Yushi
- Second runner-ups: (1) Yu Yuen Chun and Chan Yat Ming; and (2) Mak Kit Tin, Chan Yun Nam and To Hiu Fung
Our professors decided the Merit award goes to Cheung Lik Man, who, as a matter of fact, also holds the best lap record (10s!). The winner of the mini digital photo competition is Chan Chi Yan Canny. Her photo received 38 likes during the competition.
The event is benefited from the tremendous passion from the participants. The Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof Ricky
Wong, has given us a wonderful closing speech to conclude the event.
