The Department of Computer Science is pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) has granted the following accreditation statuses to our undergraduate programmes:
- Full accreditation for the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Science (Full Time)# for a period of five years for all intake classes up to and including the year 2021;
- Full accreditation for the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computing and Information Systems (Full Time) for a period of five years for all intake classes up to and including the year 2021;
- Full accreditation for the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Science (Full Time) with two single concentrations (Computing and Software Technologies concentration and Information Systems and Analytics concentration) up to the time that is in line with the accreditation period granted for the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Science (Full Time) and BSc (Hons) Degree in Computing and Information Systems (Full Time) programmes (i.e. for all intake classes up to and including the year 2021)
The HKIE accredits all computer science programmes in accordance with the Accreditation Criteria for Computer Science Programmes which intends to meet the standards of the Seoul Accord. For more information, please visit the website of HKIE at
