Dr. Xiangyuan Lan is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University. He was a visiting scholar with the Center for Automation Research, UMIACS, University of Maryland at College Park from January to July in 2015. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016, and the B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Technology from South China University of Technology in 2012. His research interests include artificial intelligence, computer vision and pattern recognition. He has served as invited reviewers for journals and conferences including IEEE TIP, TIFS, TNNLS, TCYB, TEVC, and program committee members for conferences including NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, ACM MM. He was a awardee of the IBM China Excellent Student Scholarship from China Scholarship Council in 2012, and the AAAI-18 Outstanding Program Committee Member Award from AAAI in 2018.
