Clement Pang is a young developer and he co-founded two startups in Silicon Valley. The first one is FinTech and the second one is Wavefront. Clement is currently the Chief Architect and Co-founder of Wavefront which was started in January 2013 (with venture funding from SHV, Sequoia and Tenaya Capital) and recently acquired by VMware.

Wavefront was a journey to create a massively scalable time series database and query engine, a SaaS product that tens of thousands of engineers rely on every day to make decisions, identify problems and find solutions to challenges they face.

Previously, Clement was a Staff Engineer at Google who led the infrastructure group that handled the processing of signals and machine learning models responsible for protecting major Google properties (AdWords, AdSense, Checkout and Gmail) against fraud and abuse.

Clement will tell you about his story of startup and the life as a developer in the Silicon Valley. His inspirational story would be interested to students in technology, business, information engineering, and computing science.

Clement finished his HKCEE with 8A2B then moved to US for serious computer science study. He interned at Google and worked in Google as staff engineer. He was a star software developer, and his recent success is Wavefront, about real time application monitoring SaaS. He is only 32.
