The Collaboration of PhD Student Jiaxin Jiang and International Researchers Won the Best Paper Award in ACM SIGMOD 2017

5 Jun 2017

Our PhD student, Jiaxin Jiang, received the best paper award in the 2017 ACM SIGMOD International Conference on Management of Data (SIGMOD 2017) due to his collaboration with the colleagues from the University of Edinburgh, Beihang University and Washington State University on the paper "Parallelizing Sequential Graph Computations." This work is capable of parallelizing existing sequential graph algorithms as a whole, without the need for recasting the entire algorithms into distributed models.

The annual ACM SIGMOD conference is a leading international forum for database researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore cutting-edge ideas and results, and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences.
