The 2005 IEEE International Conference on e-Technology, e-Commerce and e-Service
(EEE-05) aims to bring together researchers and developers from diverse areas of
computing, developers and practitioners to explore and address the challenging
research issues on e-technology in order to develop a common research agenda and
vision for e-commerce and e-business. The focus of this year is two-fold: 1)
emerging enabling technologies to facilitate next generation e-transformation,
and 2) their application and deployment experience in different e-themes, including
e-Business, e-Learning, e-Government, e-Finance, etc. The conference solicits
research papers as well as proposals for tutorials and workshops on related e-topics.

Two special issues of Journal of E-Commerce Research and Journal of E-Commerce
Research and Application will be dedicated to selected papers from EEE-05.
EEE-05 features a newly introduced competition named EEE Challenge. The aim is to
provide a benchmarking platform for evaluating the state-of-art e-technologies.
The focus of the competition for EEE-05 will be on autonomous service discovery
and service composition. More details will soon be posted on the conference Web site.

The IEEE EEE'05 conference invites tutorials to be held in conjunction with the
conference. Both technically and application oriented tutorials introducing into
areas related to e-themes are of interest. Tutorials are typically half day (3 hours)
or full day (6 hours) in duration.
