Workshop History

The 1st SRS workshop was held in conjunction with ACM IUI 2010 in Hong Kong. It attracted over 35 participants and included one keynote and 9 papers accepted at a rate of about 55%.

The 2nd SRS workshop was held in conjunction with ACM CSCW 2011 in Hangzhou, China. It had over 40
participants with two keynotes and 10 papers accepted at the rate of 45%.

The 3rd SRS workshop was held in conjunction with UMAP 2012 in Montreal, Canada. It had over 35 participants, with two keynotes and 8 papers accepted at rate of 50%.

The 4th SRS workshop was held in conjunction with WWW 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It had over 40 participants and 9 papers accepted at rate of 45%.

The 5th SRS workshop was held in conjunction with WWW 2014 in Seoul, Korea. It had over 40 participants and 9 papers accepted at rate of 50%.

The success of these workshops led to the publication of two special issues on Social Recommender Systems in ACM Transactions on Intelligent Systems and Technologies (TIST) that included the best submissions and various new articles.
