Hao Zhang is an engineering manager at Facebook, Inc. He received both of his M. S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences and M. A. degree in Statistics from University of California, Berkeley, in 2009. He received his Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley, in 2012. Dr. Zhang joined Facebook in 2012, where he is currently working with a team of 20 that develops machine learning infrastructure, algorithms and feature engineering to facilitate ranking and optimization of advertisement on Facebook. Dr. Zhang’s research has spanned a broad range of topics including optimization, information retrieval, machine learning and image and video processing. He has received the ACM Multimedia Best Paper Award in 2008, the IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing Best Paper Finalist in 2009, and the IEEE International Conference on Image Processing Best Paper Finalist in 2010.

Helena Buhr is a Technical Project Manager and Data Scientist at Google. Her expertise includes applied social science, research design, and data-driven product innovation for mobile and web. Before joining Google, Helena worked at LinkedIn and Tagged. She is also an external faculty member at the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems. Buhr earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Michigan and completed a postdoc at Kellogg School of Management.

Justin Baird is the CTO and Head of APAC at Justin is responsible for the research, development and implementation of 1-Page scientific and technological platforms, and the development of APAC markets. In late 2014, 1-Page became the first silicon valley based tech company to list on the Australian Stock Exchange. After the IPO, 1-Page acquired the social networking company Branchout and has continued to grow the social database to over 1.1 Billion profiles. This data is part of a larger system that enables new ways for companies to identify the best candidates for employment. Prior to 1-Page, Justin co-founded Jumptank Australia, a specialist team within the Dentsu Aegis Network of companies. Prior to that he worked as Innovationist at Google. Justin launched a number of products across Asia Pacific including the first Android mobile devices in the region. Previous to Google, Justin worked at Dolby Laboratories and Meyer Sound Laboratories.
