Title: How to Write and Publish Research Papers

Speaker: Prof. Charles Ling
Department of Computer Science
University of Western Ontario, Canada

Abstract

Chinese researchers (including MSc/PhD students and some faculty
members) often encounter great difficulties in writing and publishing
research papers in competitive international conferences and journals.
What are the typical mistakes we make in paper writing? Why do
reviewers reject our papers? How can we quickly improve our paper
writing skills? I will try to answer these questions in this talk.
