Jianliang Xu joined the Computer Science Department of Hong Kong Baptist University after he received his PhD from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2002. He received the B.Eng. degree (summa cum laude) in Computer Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China in 1998. He is a member of the e-Transformation Research Centre at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Dr. Xu has served as a program committee member and an organizing committee member for various international conferences. He is currenlty a vice chair of ACM Hong Kong Chapter.
 
Current Research Interests:
 
    Data Management, Mobile/Pervasive Computing, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Distributed Systems.
