Around 100 freshmen attended the Orientation Night on 11 September 2007. The Head of Department, Prof. Jiming Liu, and the two Programme Coordinators, Prof. Joseph Ng (for Computer Science) and Dr. William Cheung (for Computing Studies - Information Systems) expressed warm welcome and words of encouragement to them. There were also sharings by their seniors, followed by an exchange session with their mentors (professors) and peer tutors.
