COMP Receives CCF-AFSG Research Funding for Blockchain Technology Research

The Department of Computer Science has been awarded a research grant from the 2021 CCF-Ant Research Fund jointly supported by the China Computer Federation (CCF) and Ant Group Co. Ltd. The project, titled “Verifiable Query System for Blockchain Structured Data” and led by Professor Jianliang Xu, aims to develop novel verifiable computing techniques to ensure the query integrity of searching structured data in the blockchain.

With the commitment of building a platform for fostering collaboration between industry and young scholars worldwide, and supporting innovative research with Ant Group’s businesses, the CCF-Ant Research Fund was launched in 2020. The scale of the fund has been expanded this year, with a total of 51 cutting-edge research topics covered in a wide range of fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Privacy and Security, Blockchain, Internet of Things, and Databases. The fund attracted 172 applications from 70 universities. In the end, 31 projects from 21 universities came to the fore through a rigorous vetting process, with a funding ratio of 18%.
