Professor Jiming Liu, Associate Vice-President (Research Development) and Chair Professor of the Department, is ranked 5th globally in the domain of Web Intelligence. His influential research in Data Analytics and Machine Learning, Complex Networks and Systems, and Web Intelligence has earned international acclaim. “Web Intelligence continues to evolve at the intersection of AI, networks, and human society, and I am excited to keep pushing the boundaries where rigorous theory meets impactful applications,” Professor Liu remarks.
Professor Jianliang Xu, Head and Chair Professor of the Department, is ranked 18
th globally in the domain of Information Engineering. His pioneering research in Databases, Blockchain, and Data Security contributes to the advancement of secure data management and broader data intelligence systems. “I am honoured by this recognition, and I remain committed to turning research breakthroughs into real-world impact,” he says.
