Professor Renjie Wan Honoured with Outstanding Research Output Award 2024/25

Our faculty member, Professor Renjie Wan, has been recognised with the Outstanding Research Output Award 2024/25 by the Research Office for his paper, “The NeRF Signature: Codebook-Aided Watermarking for Neural Radiance Fields”, published in the IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence.

This award recognises Professor Wan’s work in safeguarding digital creativity. His research helps protect the copyright of Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) in today’s world of AI-driven 3D content. With the NeRF Signature framework, he has advanced watermarking from the image level to the model level, ensuring both imperceptibility and robustness without altering the model structure.

“I hope the work on NeRF watermarking inspires further exploration at the intersection of artificial intelligence, creativity, and digital rights protection,” Professor Wan remarked. We warmly congratulate Professor Wan and look forward to the future impact of his work on AI creativity and digital rights.
