Prof. Sankar K. Pal, FNA, FTWAS, FIAPR, Fellow IEEE, Distinguished Scientist and Former Director, Indian Statistical Institute visited the Department and delivered a Distinguished Lecture on "Machine Intelligence, F-granulation and Generalized Rough Sets: Uncertainty Analysis in Pattern Recognition and Mining" on 3 March 2011. He was also invited to present the Best Paper and Best Presentation Awards at the 13th Postgraduate Research Symposium of the Department.
