The Department hosted the 1st Mind Drive Competition (Programming Contest for Natural User Interface) at Digital Innovation Lab (AML 119) on 17 January 2013.
We are grateful that the president of Hong Kong Computer Society Ir. Stephen Lau, JP blessed the event with an opening speech. 22 participants (Common Year 1 students from the Faculty of Science) showed off their programming skills and body coordination during the competition!
Now, we are pleased to announce the winners of the competition:
- First prize: Qian Jiangfan, Li Xiang and Liu Bowen
- First runner-up: Lau Kwun Hang Marco, Tang Kok Ying and Ng Pui Mei
- Second runner-up: Liang Ruixian, Li Yun and Cheng Yiqun
- Winner of the obstacle course: Qian Jiangfan, Li Xiang and Liu Bowen
The event is benefited from the tremendous passion from the participants. The competition has given out special prizes such as the "Out of the Box" Award and the Toughness Award. The Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof Ricky Wong, has given us a wonderful closing speech to conclude the event.
