The Mind Drive Competition (Secondary School Section) was successfully organized by the Department of Computer Science on 2 April 2016. As one of the celebratory events of the 60th Anniversary of Hong Kong Baptist University, around 120 students from 30 secondary schools participated in this exhilarating programming contest for natural user interface.

All participants attended three training workshops organized by the Department in March. The team of schools demonstrated programmed postures that they designed during the workshops as well as showed off body coordination in the competition.

We were also honored to have invited honorable guests which are Ir. Jolly Wong, Chief Telecommunications Engineer, Hong Kong Police Force, Hon. Charles Peter Mok, JP, Legislative Councillor (Information Technology) and Prof. Jiming Liu, Acting Dean of Science and Chair Professor, Department of Computer Science to share their valuable insight and experience of their profession and to present the prizes to the winners!

We are pleased to announce the winners of the competition:
  • Champion: Law Ting Pong Secondary School
  • First runner-up: CCC Ming Kei College
  • Second runner-ups: (1) La Salle College and (2)Pope Paul VI College
  • Best record of the Day: CCC Ming Kei College
  • Posture design award: Christian Alliance Cheng Wing Gee College
  • Digital Art Award: Tsung Tsin Christian Academy
