We are delighted that the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Student Chapter has been established at our University.
An Inaugural Ceremony, officiated by the Vice President of HKIE, Ir Ringo Yu Shek Man, was held on 7 September 2016. Prof Jiming Liu, Acting Dean of Science, was invited as the Guest-of-Honour and Prof P C Yuen, Head of Computer Science Department, was the Guest Speaker for the Sharing Session. The first Committee is comprised of:

The Student Chapter aims to facilitate the promotion of engineering profession to our young generation and to foster a spirit of friendly collaboration between the students of Computer Science Department and the HKIE. In addition to social activities, the Student Chapter will organize activities including technical meetings, visits and other events for the benefit of the members of the Chapter and for the purpose of increasing their awareness of the engineering profession and the Institution.
