HKT's Tech-cum-Career Talk Empowers Students with Valuable Insights and Career Opportunities

On 29 March 2023, over 25 undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the Tech-cum-Career Talk, an informative and engaging session by HKT professionals on the latest IT industry landscape, career path options, practical career advice, and in-demand skills from industry insiders.

This Talk featured tech-sharing sessions by Info Security Analyst Mr. Tom Fung, who discussed ChatGPT in cybersecurity, and Senior Project Manager Mr. Castin Wong, who shared insights on project management and application development in mega projects from HKT Enterprise Solutions.

Following the tech-sharing, a tailor-made and comprehensive Graduate Development Programme was introduced by HKT’s Human Resources representatives. They highlighted the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the tech sector and showcased exciting career opportunities available at HKT.

“We aim to connect with the industry and students to give them first-hand experience and of engaging tech professionals, also cultivate our students’ early exposure to real-world working scenarios to stand them in good stead,” said Dr. Jean Lai, Internship and Career Coordinator of the Department.
