Orientation Night for Undergraduate Freshmen 2025/26

Orientation Night was successfully held on 22 September 2025.
The Department was glad to welcome around 200 undergraduate freshmen to join our big family at the Orientation Night held on 22 September 2025. The incoming students were warmly welcomed by the Faculty members, the Computer Science Society, senior students and alumni. Senior students also took the opportunity to share with the freshmen about their wonderful outreach experiences provided by the Department. Award Presentation was also held to present the awards to the outstanding students and Peer tutors of 2025/26 were introduced. We sincerely wish that all the freshmen to have a brilliant new chapter of life in the university.

The Department offers Undergraduate Scholarships to students admitted in the 4-year Programme of the BSc (Hons) in Computer Science via JUPAS with outstanding HKDSE results, or achievement of excellent academic performance in their studies in Common Year 1.

The Department offers Scholarship for Computer Science Non-JUPAS School Recommendation Scheme and Scholarship for BCDA Non-JUPAS School Recommendation Scheme to newly admitted students through the Non-JUPAS School Recommendation Scheme with outstanding academic performance in their associate degree/higher diploma programme and good interview performance.

Peer Tutor Programme
Peer Tutor Programme has been established in the Department since 2007/08, aiming to assist the freshmen in adapting to the University life and to tutor them in their studies. In 2025/26, 25 Peer Tutors are recruited to assist in the mentoring activities conducted by the Department.
