CS Alumni Association Brings Alumni and Students Together for a Fun Pickleball Night

The CS Alumni Association successfully hosted an Alumni Pickleball Night on 24 July 2026 at the Madam Kwok Chung Bo Fun Sports and Cultural Centre (KCBF), bringing together 27 alumni and CS students for an evening of sport, learning and networking.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for graduates and current students to connect, build new relationships and enjoy one of the world’s fastest-growing sports in a fun and welcoming environment.

Designed for participants of all experience levels, the evening began with an introductory coaching session led by experienced instructors. Attendees learnt the fundamentals of pickleball, including the basic rules, techniques and game strategies, before putting their new skills into practice through a series of friendly matches and free-play activities.

The relaxed and energetic atmosphere encouraged interaction across different graduating cohorts, enabling alumni to share their professional experiences and career insights with fellow alumni and current students while strengthening ties within the CS community. Many participants were trying pickleball for the first time and appreciated the opportunity to learn a new sport in a supportive and inclusive setting.

The Alumni Pickleball Night reflects the Department’s ongoing commitment to fostering lifelong engagement among graduates and promoting meaningful connections between alumni and students beyond the classroom. The event was a great success and we look forward to welcoming more members of our community to future alumni activities.
