About

Prof. Wang received his BEng degree with Honors from Xi'an Jiaotong University and his PhD degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining HKBU, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Manning College of Information & Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His research centers on online learning theory and quantum networking applications. He develops rigorous algorithms for multi-agent online learning, focusing on efficient communications, heterogeneous agents, and realistic feedback. He also devises practical algorithms for quantum networks, focusing on routing optimization and network tomography. He is a recipient of the RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme (JRFS), and his research was recognized as a Best Paper Finalist (Top 5) at ACM SIGMETRICS 2025. He serves as a Technical Program Committee member for ACM SIGMETRICS (2026) and ACM MobiHoc (2025, 2026). He also regularly serves as a reviewer for top-tier machine learning venues and prestigious journals such as IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and npj Quantum Information.

I am actively looking for PhD/RAs/Interns with a strong background in quantum computing, quantum networks, and reinforcement learning. Please contact me with your CV.
