Abstract
AI technologies have revolutionized the way we consume and create multimedia products. E.g., supporting users to find their desired music, movies, and news by recommendation techniques; and generating graphics by adversarial networks based techniques. Following the vision of Augmenting Human Intellect, mixed-initiative interaction (MII) is crucial to a human-centered AI system that does not only rely on system intelligence but also allows users to realize their full potential to achieve their goals. In this talk, I will present how we design a conversational user interface and an AR user interface to enable mixed-initiative interaction with music recommendations and advertisements. Besides, I will show an interactive system that automates the iteration process of graphic design and aims to support designers' creativity by exploring design variations in terms of visual features such as color and layout.
