29 Jun 2018

Computer Science undergraduate student Xueyan Zou will start pursuing her PhD degree in Computer Science at University of California, Davis, USA.

“Being a CS graduate in HKBU, I feel grateful and lucky to have a chance of chasing what I really enjoy: using logic and math to solve problems in Computer Visions. Nowadays, in order to obtain a satisfying PhD position, we need to have a solid research background, an attractive GPA, good academic connections as well as qualified GRE and TOEFL scores. Last but not the least, the most important thing, show appreciation and be helpful to those who have given us their hands through our lives.” Xueyan shared.

During her study in HKBU, she has joined in the overseas study programme at McGill University (CA. Montreal) for one semester and participated in the Undergraduate Overseas Summer Research Scholarship Scheme to Carnegie Mellon University, USA. In addition, she took part in the ASC student Supercomputer challenge in 2017 and won the first class award.
