COMP student Christopher Zhang (Computer Science, Year 4), who formed a team with students from the other universities, was named as the winner of the Medical/Healthcare Technology category in the recent Hong Kong Techathon 2019.
The Hong Kong Techathon 2019 was jointly organised by HKBU, PolyU, CityU, HKU and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.
The event provided a platform for programmers, engineers, designers, marketeers and entrepreneurs to find like-minded teammates for venture creation. More than 300 participants formed 47 teams in four categories, namely: Smart City, Fintech, Social/Education Technology and Medical/Healthcare Technology. The teams pitched their innovative ideas to the judging panel, and competed for up to HK$350,000 of seed funding and admission to the incubation programme.
