HKBU Team Places Top One-fourth Internationally in the Simon Marais Mathematics Competition

GONG Yikai from Computer Science (Right) teamed up with Mathematics Student WANG Luwei, placed in the top one-fourth internationally in the Simon Marais Mathematics Competition.

GONG Yikai (Computer Science, Year 3, Computing and Software Technologies Concentration) teamed up with Mathematics Student WANG Luwei, placed in the top one-fourth internationally in the Simon Marais Mathematics Competition. They received a prize of 100AUD each, for being the top-scoring team within HKBU.

The Simon Marais Mathematics Competition is an annual problem-solving competition in mathematics for undergraduates in the Asian-Pacific region. It names after Dr Simon Marais, was well known by maintaining a life-long passionate interest in mathematics and mathematical problem solving.
