First Class Prize of the 12th National Challenge Cup Contest

The 12th National Challenge Cup Contest has been held on 15 - 20 October 2011 at the Dalian University of Technology. As a biennial competition jointly initiated by famous Chinese universities and mass media units, the "Challenge Cup" is regarded as the "Olympic in Science and Technology" for Chinese college students. Among the entries submitted by students from over 1,000 tertiary institutions in mainland China, our MPhil student Gao Shen has won the First Class Prize for his project "FlashDB : A Database Management System for Solid-State Drives.
