The chapter arranged a site visit of the HKTVMall Tsing Yi Logistics Centre for local university students on 13-Nov-2018. Over 20 undergraduate and postgradaute students from HKBU and OUHK enjoyed an insider view of the new German-made robotic logistic system from SSI Schaefer. Only one of the two installed in the Southeast Asia, the system enables efficient order handling through automatic item picking and warehousing. HKTVMall has also expended significant effort in optimization in various aspects of the logistics chain. The largest HK-based online shopping company has made good use of computational intelligence to improve business performance.
