Ido Guy, IBM Haifa Research Lab, Israel (ido at il.ibm.com)
Ido Guy manages the Social Technologies group at the IBM Haifa Research Lab, to which he joined in 2000. Ido lead various projects in the group dealing with synchronous collaboration and social networks architecture previously to becoming a manager. He is co-author of conference and journal papers in the fields of Data Mining, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer-Supported Cooperative Work, and Recommender Systems. Ido serves as program committee member for top-rated conferences, such as WWW, CHI, UMAP, and RecSys. He is currently serving as Industry co-chair of RecSys 2010 and as SIGs co-chair at CHI 2011. His research interests include social network analysis, collaborative applications, web mining, information discovery, and graph algorithms.
Li Chen, Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong (lichen at comp.hkbu.edu.hk)
Dr. Li Chen leads the HCI group in the Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University. She obtained her PhD degree in Human Computer Interaction at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), and Bachelor and Master Degrees in Computer Science at Peking University, China. Her research interests are mainly in the areas of human-computer interaction, user- centered design and development of intelligent Web technologies, recommender systems and e-commerce decision supports. Her co-authored papers have been published in high-quality journals (e.g. TOCHI, UMUAI, ECRJ, KBS) and top-rated conferences such as ACM EC, AAAI, IUI, UMAP, ACM RecSys. She is the vice chair of ACM HK Chapter. She has also been the publicity chair of IUI 2010, demo chair of IUI 2011, Asian liaison of ACM RecSys 2010, workshop co-chair of SRS in IUI 2010, and co-organizer of special sessions at IEEE AMT-BI 2009 and 2010.
Michelle X. Zhou, IBM Almaden Research Lab, USA (mzhou at us.ibm.com)
Dr. Michelle Zhou is a research senior manager at IBM Almaden Research Center, where she manages the User Systems and Experience Research (USER) group. Zhou received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University. Her expertise is in the interdisciplinary areas of intelligent user interaction, smart visual analytics (2D/3D), and people- centric information management. She has published over 60 peer-reviewed, refereed articles and filed over twenty patents in above areas. Zhou is active in several research communities, including intelligent user interfaces, information visualization and visual analytics, and multimedia, where she has co-organized/co-chaired conferences and workshops, and served on the technical program committees for key conferences in these areas. She was the general conference co-chair for ACM IUI 2007 and is the technical program co-chair for ACM MM 2009 and IUI 2010.
