The Postgraduate Research Symposium is a biannual event organized by the Department
of Computer Science in HKBU. Following the successful launch in 2005, the 5th
Symposium will be held on January 11, 2007. The main program contains sessions
of presentations from our PhD and MPhil students, covering the following research
topics:
- Pattern Recognition
- Computer Vision
- Web Intelligence
- Machine Learning
- Data Mining
- Internet/Web Technologies
- Mobile Positioning Systems
- Wireless Data Broadcast
- Sensor Data Management
A Best Paper Award and a Best Presentation Award will be presented based
on peer evaluations and supervisors' inputs.
All interested academics, postgraduate or undergraduate students, and
practitioners are warmly welcome to join and benefit from this free,
public symposium.
