Researchers have a vision of the future. In this talk, Jenny will share with you how various research work can help to build a Smarter Planet. Topics include Smarter Energy, Smarter Surveillance and Cloud Computing will be discussed.

Biography of Speaker

Jenny Li is an IBM Master Inventor and the Chief Technology Officer for the Energy and Utility Industry at the IBM System and Technology Group in Poughkeepsie, NY. Her area of expertise includes enterprise solution research, application architecture for on-demand businesses, and enterprise architecture and strategy. She currently holds 5 US issued patents and has more than 40 pending patents, including areas of Contextual Collaboration, RFID, Wireless Network, Virtual Universe, Green Data Center, etc. She has a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Applied Mathematics from Rochester Institute of Technology, NY, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science from University of Alberta, Canada.
