Xin Huang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). He received his B.Eng. degree in computer science from the Xiamen University (XMU) in 2010, and Ph.D. degree in systems engineering and engineering management (SEEM) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2014, advised by Prof. Hong Cheng and Prof. Jeffrey Xu Yu. During 2015-2016, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of British Columbia (UBC), advised by Prof. Laks V.S. Lakshmanan. He then joined the Hong Kong Baptist University as a research assistant professor, and became as an assistant professor in January of 2018. He is a member of database research group at the HKBU. He had also held positions of postdoctoral research fellow (CUHK), visiting scholar (CUHK), and staff researcher (Lenovo HK).
