Workshop Details

Workshop 1 at Kyoto: Intercultural Collaboration

Methodology

  1. A HKBU student finds cultural differences from Kyoto
    • Obtain insight by comparing between Kyoto and Hong Kong

  2. A KU student finds characteristics of Kyoto from the HKBU students’ insights
    • Obtain insight from the counterparts’ insights
    • Analyze environmental and cultural factors that cause the differences

  3. A student forcibly creates ideas using the cultural differences
    • Adapt the findings to Hong Kong while considering the environmental and cultural differences

Workshop 2 at Hong Kong: Interdisciplinary Collaboration

Methodology

  1. A student takes his/her research theme to the workshop
    • Explain his/her research
    • Represent the responsibility and ownership of his/her research

  2. A student extends others’ research themes with his/her interpretation and tries to combine his/her research theme
    • Think others’ research theme by himself/herself

  3. A student sees that others explain and apply his/her research theme far from him/her
    • Confirm how his/her intention is transferred
    • Know unexpected interpretations and associations
