My name is ONG Jun Kye, and I am majoring in Business Computing and Data Analytics.
I come from Ampang, just outside of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My parents have just retired from old age, which sometimes worries me, as I feel burdened to receive or request financial assistance from them. Therefore, I sustain myself financially with the admission scholarship money while working part-time on campus to earn extra pocket money without asking my parents for money.
After receiving the email from the HKBU Computer Science Department, I was told that I had been awarded the Certificate of Merit of Alumni Scholarship from the Computer Science Department Alumni Scholarship Fund. I felt so happy and grateful. I am deeply thankful for your kind and selfless scholarship, which has helped support my education. Your assistance has significantly impacted my life and allowed me to pursue my dreams and studies without the financial burden that often comes with higher education.
Thanks to your scholarship, I have relieved my family's financial burden and given myself peace of mind. Your assistance has helped with essential expenses such as meals, textbooks, and online courses like DataCamp, which have helped me improve my programming and technical skills. I am incredibly grateful for your help, as I can entirely focus on my studies and internship to gain hands-on experience, reach my potential, and contribute to society and the HKBU Computer Science Department.
