About RTCSA

Welcome to RTCSA

RTCSA 2005 is going to be held in Hong Kong. Carry on with the tradition, the RTCSA conference series, will bring together researchers and developers from academia and industry for advancing the technology of embedded and real-time computing systems and applications.RTCSA seeks both research and industry track papers that describe research or technical aspects in the area of embedded and real-time systems. Proceedings will be published by the IEEE Computer Society. Selected papers will be published in one or more special issue of international journal.

History of RTCSA

The International Conference on Real-Time and Embedded Computing Systems and Applications (RTCSA) aims to be a forum on the trends as well as innovations in the growing areas of real-time and embedded systems, and to bring together researchers an developers from academia and industry for advancing the technology of real-time computing systems, embedded systems and their applications. The conference assumes the following goals:

  • to investigate advances in real-time and embedded systems;
  • to promote interactions among real-time systems, embedded systems and their applications;
  • to evaluate the maturity and directions of real-time and embedded system technology;
  • to bridge research and practicing experience in the communities of real-time and embedded systems.

RTCSA started from 1994 by the International Workshop on Real-Time Computing Systems an Applications held in Korea. It evolved to the International Conference on Real-Time Computing Systems and Applications in 1998. As embedded systems in becoming one of the most vital area of research and development in computer science and engineering, RTCSA changes to the International Conference on Real-Time and Embedded Computing systems and Applications from 2003. In addition to embedded systems, RTCSA expands its scope to cover topics on pervasive and ubiquitous computing, home computing, and sensor networks. The proceedings of RTCSA from 1995 to 2000 are available from IEEE. From 2003, post-proceedings are available from Springer Verlag. A brief history of RTCSA is listed below.
