The conference paper submission due for WI / IAT 2006 has been extended to 12 July 2006, and the submission due for ICDM 2006 has been extended to 9 July 2006. The paper submission due for WI / IAT 2006 Industry and Demo Track papers has been extended to 12 July 2006 as well. What is the page limit for paper submission?

The maximum pages for ICDM 2006 paper submission are twelve. The maximum pages for WI and IAT 2006 are eight. For more detailed submission guidelines, please visit Submission.

Is the page limit for paper submission inflexible? Would it be rejected for exceeding the page limit from the guidelines?

According to our guidelines, page limitation of paper submission is 12 for ICDM 2006 and page limitation of paper submission is 8 for IAT 2006 and WI 2006. We would also accept the paper which exceeds the page limitation in the stage of paper submission. If the paper is accepted, authors would have a time to revise their papers. Revised papers should be submitted on or before 29 Sept, 2006 which is the deadline of Camera-ready of accepted papers. If the page limit of accepted paper is over the guidelines, author would be charged an extra fee for it. For further detailed information of paper guidelines, please visit Submission.

Will the proceedings of ICDM /WI/ IAT 2006 be indexed by SCI or EI?

Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings by the IEEE Computer Society Press that is indexed by EI.

Do ICDM / WI / IAT use blind review?

There is no blind review requirement, therefore authors can write down their names inside the paper.

How could I submit the paper? Where could I get the account and password to upload my paper to ICDM / WI / IAT conference?

Authors please visit Submissions, click the online submission page at
http://wi-lab.com/cyberchair/icdm06/scripts/submit.php (ICDM 2006),
http://wi-consortium.org/wiiat06/scripts/submit.php?subarea=W (WI 2006), or
http://wi-consortium.org/wiiat06/scripts/submit.php?subarea=I (IAT 2006);
then click the title "Submit a New Paper" for ICDM or click the subtitles (i.e. Research Track, Industry Track or Demo Track) under the title "Submit a New Paper" for WI and IAT. After that, please complete the paper submission form and upload your paper. The procedure of on-line paper submission will be finished and you will receive a paper id for your submitted paper as a login ID.

Is it necessary to submit the (IEEE) copyright form when submitting the conference paper?

The copyright form is needed only after a paper is accepted. Authors need not to prepare the copyright form during paper submission.

What is the file format of the submitted paper? How could the authors do if they failed to upload the paper during submission?

The online submission system accepts all electronic papers in Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format), Postscript format, Microsoft Word (.doc and .rtf) format. Other file formats such as zip, rar, or latex will be rejected by the system. In addition, authors kindly please submit their electronic papers in directly readable format, any submitted electronic document which requires post-processing such as Latex documents should be avoided. If authors fail to submit their paper, kindly please try again in one or two hours. Furthermore, the filesize of the submitted electronic documents should be less than 2 MB.

Registration

Would the (first) authors just pay for the registration and not attend the conference?
Is it necessary to register for all three conferences separately if I submit my papers in more than one conference?

First authors and other authors are highly recommended to attend the conference after finishing registration. If authors are not free to attend, they have a right to authorize other representative by whom has been registered in our conference to present their accepted paper.

Is it necessary to register for all three conferences separately if I submit my papers in more than one conference?

Please be informed that it is required to register on three conferences separately. If you send papers to two conferences, you need to pay two registration fees. In this stage, we do not have any plan about all in one package for registration fees.
