Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business or other relevant fields. If applicants did not use English as the medium of learning in their Bachelor’s degree programmes, they should satisfy any one of the following English proficiency requirements:
For exceptional cases in which applicants have other qualifications and substantial experience in IT, we will determine their suitability based on individual merits and interviews.

The tuition fee for the entire programme is:
Local student: HK$150,000
Non-local student: HK$180,000
If a student cannot complete the programme within the normal study schedule, he/she is required to pay extra tuition fee.
Continuing Education Fund:
The Hong Kong SAR Government has set up a Continuing Education Fund (CEF) to subsidize Hong Kong residents to pursue continuing education. Scholarships:
High Distinction/Distinction/Merit Scholarships are provided to students with very good academic performance. Each student can obtain at most HK $24,000.
Entrance Scholarships are provided to freshmen with excellent academic records in their undergraduate studies. Each recipient can receive at most HK $50,000.
Global Experience Scholarships are awarded to support students to participate in the designated global outreach programme(s) organized by the Department. Students are selected for this scholarship based on two criteria: (i) academic records and (ii) suitability for the designated outreach programme (e.g., learning motivation and communication skills). Each awardee will receive a certificate and financial support to cover the expenses for the major transportation and accommodation (such as airline ticket and hotel) for the outreach progrmme.
MSc Research Scholarships are awarded to the students who perform well in the research-oriented courses and fulfill the following requirements: (i) the grade obtained in “COMP7960 MSc Research I” or “COMP7970 MSc Research II” in a semester is A or A-, (ii) the results obtained in COMP7960 or COMP7970 are of publishable quality, and (iii) the affiliation of the authors in the paper is “Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University”. The amount of each scholarship is up to $5,000, depending on the quality of the results.
