In this tutorial we consider the relation between agent theory - both multiagent systems and autonomous agents - and the social sciences - sociology, philosophy, economics, etc. The relation is considered in two directions: how do the social sciences influence agent theory, and how does agent theory influence the social sciences?

In this tutorial, I will give an overview of the recent developments in intelligently tracking user behavior in wireless environments, and discuss methods for recognizing users' locations, actions and plans in such environments.

We will describe the ROADMAP methodology, place it in the context of other AOSE efforts. We will walk anticipants through requirements analysis, high-level design and detailed design for a portion of a real-world problem.
