The Computing and Software Technologies (CST) concentration equips students with concepts, principles and practices of computing and software technologies to contribute to technological innovations.

The Information Systems and Analytics (ISA) concentration equips students with knowledge and practices of information systems design, development and integration, as well as information analytics skills for creative applications in real-world organizations.

The AI concentration is designed to provide students with a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML) to participate in AI-related projects using computational methods.

The Data and Media Communication (DMC) concentration is an interdisciplinary concentration co-offered with the Department of Journalism, School of Communication. It emphasizes both data analytics and journalistic principles and skills for media organizations as well as related industries.

Investigative reporting, data journalism, and data visualization are key elements for this concentration. Yet, this Concentration does not require CS students to have writing proficiency as good as journalists’. In addition, two related bridging courses will be provided to CS students. Our graduates work in different software and IT consultancy companies (including IBM, Oracle, Yahoo, Microsoft, some start-up companies) as well as companies/organizations in different industry sectors, including banking, healthcare, logistic, and education. Companies include HSBC, Hospital Authority, OOCL, etc. Nature of jobs ranges from developing and managing software system development projects, providing pre-sales, post-sales and in-house technical support, liaising business users and technical staff, delivering professional training, etc.

Yes, even a student does not involve in the School Recommendation Scheme, interview will also be arranged for him/her via the regular route if he/she is qualified.
