To present an overview of CS research projects in Tongji University. Possible collaborations with the Department of Computer Science, HKBU will also be discussed.

Jihong Guan received her Bachelor degree from Huazhong Normal University in July 1991, her Master degree from Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping (merged into Wuhan University since Aug. 2000) in March 1998, and her PhD from Wuhan University in July 2002. She served as an assistant lecturer (Sept. 1991 - Aug.1995), lecturer (Sept. 1995 - Apr. 2000), associate professor (Since May 2000) in the Department of Computer Science, Wuhan Technical University of Surveying and Mapping, and as an associate professor (Aug. 2000 - Oct. 2003) and professor (Since Nov. 2003), in the School of Computer, Wuhan University, China. And now she is a professor and head of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tongji University, China. Her current research interests include Spatial Database and Data Mining, Bioinformatics, and Geographic Information Systems, etc.
