The Department of Computer Science is pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) has granted the following accreditation statuses to our undergraduate programme:
- Full accreditation for the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Science (Full Time)# with three single concentrations and three double concentrations for a period of five years for all intake classes up to and including the year 2026;
- Three single concentrations: (i) Computing and Software Technologies concentration, (ii) Information Systems and Analytics concentration and (iii) Artificial Intelligence concentration.
- Three double concentrations: (i) Computing and Software Technologies concentration + Data and Media Communication concentration, (ii) Information Systems and Analytics concentration + Data and Media Communication concentration and (iii) Artificial Intelligence concentration + Data and Media Communication concentration.
The HKIE accredits all computer science programmes in accordance with the Accreditation Criteria for Computer Science Programmes which intends to meet the standards of the Seoul Accord. For more information, please visit the website of HKIE at

Note: Only Applicable to 4-year curriculum programme students who were admitted to Year 3 in or before Academic Year 2017/18 (Non-JUPAS Admission in 2017/18 or before) and students who were admitted to Year 2 in or before Academic Year 2016/17 (Intake to HKBU in or before 2015/16)
