On 30 October 2024, the Department was delighted to welcome Chun Wo Development Holdings Limited, a leading infrastructure company in Hong Kong, for an insightful career talk with our undergraduate and postgraduate students. The session provided valuable perspectives on the current industry landscape and practical career advice, significantly broadening the students' horizons.

During the career talk, students actively engaged with Chun Wo representatives to explore the extensive applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in construction, gaining firsthand insights into how technology boosts efficiency and enhances safety. The discussion included the use of AI helmet detection systems that ensure compliance and prevent on-site accidents, as well as the pioneering introduction of the industry’s first Generative AI chatbot. The session also covered future trends, career opportunities, and the growing importance of AI in improving worksite efficiency, deepening students' understanding of how AI technologies are driving industry advancement.
