The Department of Computer Science is pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) has granted the following accreditation statuses to our undergraduate programmes:
- Full accreditation for the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Science (Full Time - 3-year and Sandwich - 4-year) for a period of five years for all intake classes from the year 2012 up to and including the year 2016, and that the accreditation would be granted with retrospective effect back to Intake Year 2004;
- Full accreditation for the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computing Studies (Information Systems) (Full Time - 3-year and Sandwich - 4-year) for a period of five years for all intake classes from the year 2012 up to and including the year 2016, and that the accreditation would be granted with retrospective effect back to Intake Year 2004;
- Interim recognition to the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computer Science (Full Time and Sandwich) (4-year programme) for all intake classes from the year 2012 up to and including the year 2015;
- Interim recognition to the BSc (Hons) Degree in Computing and Information Systems (Full Time and Sandwich) (4-year programme) for all intake classes from the year 2012 up to and including the year 2015.
The HKIE accredits all computer science programmes in accordance with the Accreditation Criteria for Computer Science Programmes which intends to meet the standards of the Seoul Accord. For more information, please visit the website of HKIE at
