The Department was glad to welcome around 200 undergraduate freshmen to join our big family at the Orientation Night held on 23 September 2024. The incoming students were warmly welcomed by the Faculty members, senior students and alumni. Senior students also took the opportunity to share with the freshmen about their wonderful outreach experiences provided by the Department. An Award Presentation was also held to recognise outstanding students, and Peer tutors of 2024/25 were introduced. We sincerely wish that all freshmen have a brilliant new chapter in their university life.

Peer Tutor Programme
Peer Tutor Programme has been established in the Department since 2007/08, aiming to assist the freshmen in adapting to the University life and to tutor them in their studies. In 2024/25, 29 Peer Tutors are recruited to assist in the mentoring activities conducted by the Department.
