Online security technology such as Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology will be used in the app.

The HSBC FinTech Safeguard App Competition, organised by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), aims to mobilise talents in Hong Kong to develop technological solutions that can enable customers to meet the information requirements in the banking industry in more convenient and secure ways. Participants are asked to tackle one or both of the challenges targeting on retail or business customers in their proposals.
