Two Elite Undergraduates Awarded HKSAR Government Scholarship 2022/23

Zhou Yubo, (BCDA, Year 2), is a recipient of the HKSAR Government Scholarship 2022/23.
Zheng Yixiao, (CS, Year 3), is a recipient of the HKSAR Government Scholarship 2022/23.


Computer Science (CS) student Zheng Yixiao and Business Computing and Data Analytics (BCDA) student Zhou Yubo received the HKSAR Government Scholarship for the 2022-23 academic year for their outstanding academic performance and active participation in community service and extra-curricular activities.

Both of them are awarded a scholarship of HK$80,000 per year, which is tenable for the normal duration of their respective study programmes starting from this academic year and is renewed annually based on their performances and achievements.

Professor Byron Choi, Associate Head (Teaching and Learning), Department of Computer Science at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) said: “We are pleased to see our students have received the scholarships in recognition of their academic excellence and active participation in community service.”

Zheng Yixiao (CS, Year 3), who majors in Computing and Software Technologies Concentration, is grateful for the support and opportunities the Department has provided, enabling her to achieve her educational goals and academic excellence. Zhou Yubo (BCDA, Year 2) is also honored to receive the scholarship and thankful for the encouragement of teaching staff in the Departments and the learning experience he has got in HKBU.

Established in 2008, The HKSAR Government Scholarship is offered to outstanding local and non-local students with excellent academic performance, recognised contribution to the institution or society, demonstrated leadership, good communication skills, and strong commitment to the Hong Kong community.
