Studentship
Normally, studentships are provided to full-time MPhil and PhD students. The
monthly studentship should be enough for tuition fee, accommodation and
sundries, etc.
Government Student Financial Assistance Scheme
The government offers financial assistance in the form of non-means-tested
loan to all students, and means-tested loan and / or grant to needy full-time
students studying UGC-funded programmes. The beneficiaries are expected to repay
their loans within a specified period after graduation or leaving the
University.
Bursaries and Loans
All needy full-time students studying UGC-funded programmes may apply for
financial assistance in the form of bursaries and loans at the beginning of the
academic year.
Fellowships and Postgraduate Scholarships
Scholarships are bestowed upon the selected recipients including new students
on the basis of academic merits and other criteria stipulated by the donors.
Incentive Scheme
The University and Department are fully committed to establish an ideal academic environment for research postgraduate students. Meanwhile, various incentive/matching funding schemes were launched for RPg students to acquire additional resource to support their study and self-development.
